26th Annual Hillsborough Hog Day

Full Description:

On Friday, June 20, the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce will kick off the 26th Annual Hillsborough Hog Day! Thirty teams of cookers will fire up the grill to cook two tons of barbecue on South Cameron Street and, at Cameron Park Elementary School, The Deal will be opening for The Flabbergasters. Gates open at 6:00 pm and the show begins at 7:00 pm. Admission is $5, 12 and under free. There will be food available at the Hog Day site, or visit one of Hillsborough's wonderful restaurants. On Saturday, June 21 beginning around 9:00 am, the barbecue that the cookers toiled so hard over will be chopped and taken to the BBQ tent, where it will be sold as sandwiches or pounds of BBQ. Craft vendors, area non-profits, Chamber members and other vendors will be set up, along with games and rides, more food and lots of live music. This year's lineup features Jim Quick and the Coastline Band and Nantucket.
