Full Description:

6:30 - 9:30 PM  This months free concert features original Blues and Rock by Armand Lencheck and Bluesology featuring Will McFarlane.

Armand Lenchek & Bluesology featuring Will McFarlane.  New Moon recording artist Armand Lencheck, toured with Skeeter Brandon and Hwy 61 from 1990 thru 97, playing blues clubs like BB King's in Memphis, Buddy Guy's in Chicago, and Manny's Car Wash in New York, in addition to appearing in festivals all over the world. Armand now plays locally with guitarist Will McFarlane.

You've heard Will McFarlane's guitar work before, having played with artists like Bonnie Raitt, The Pointer Sisters and Jackson Browne.

McFarlane spent six years playing guitar with Bonnie Raitt, from 1974 to 1980. McFarlanes Guitar can be heard on a number of her recordings.

McFarlane left Raitt to move to Muscle Shoals, Alabama, playing on records for Bobby Blue Bland, Little Milton, Etta James and Johnnie Taylor as part of the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section.

McFarlane was recently inducted into the Musician's Hall of Fame in Nashville as a member of the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section The Swampers.

Last Friday Childrens Activities
Last Fridays children’s activities will be directed by Sheila Kerrigan, author of The Performer’s Guide to the Collaborative Process, Sheila is a mime, director, and teacher. She will be offering lessons in juggling and mime performance for both children and adults... Join the fun at the south lawn of courthouse square!
 

The Second Annual Hillsborough Pie Contest
Cup O' Joes 120 West King St
Bring your best pie to Last Fridays! Flavor of the month of April is CHOCOLATE!
Bring your pie to Cup o’ Joe (120 W King Street) no later than 5 pm on Last Friday.
Judging will begin at 6 pm on Last Friday at Cup a Joe's.
Applications and information for contest submissions are available on the Arts Council website.

Last Friday Food
The Hillsborough Arts Council will be offering Barbecue featuring fresh Maple View Farm Hamburgers along with sides and soft drinks... Just follow your nose to the enticing aroma from the grill at the Courthouse Square!
 

Last Friday Art Walk
The popular Last Fridays Art Walk is back with art demonstrations and open galleries with some hosting opening night receptions. Participating galleries include Churton Street Gallery, Hillsborough Artists Cooperative & the Skylight Gallery, Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston, Cup A Joe, Renee Montague Studio, Callaway Jewelry & Spiral Studios, Sovero Art Gallery, Hillsborough Gallery of Arts and The Depot at Hillsborough Station.
The new Hillsborough Arts Council Gallery will be included on the Walk and will be presenting the work of local artist, Renee Montague.
